Owen Wingrave (2017)

Reconditioned chairs that were repainted and stained for a darker fuller period look, upholstered with a black lace finish around the edging. 

Second set of chairs applied with saturated paint wire brushed into fabric bringing fabric to life finished with reddish/brown wooden tone.

Cabaret (2017)

Fruit basket for The Royal Conservatiore of Scotland production of Cabaret.

Polystyrene sculpted orange, apples and pears coated in plaster then sanded for a smooth polished surface.

 

Painted and textured using sponge and brush then sealed with shellac for realistic colour and shine. 

Snow Queen (2017)

Muscles club made for The Royal Conservatoire Production of Snow Queen,

Multiple layers of plastizote sheets cut to shape using stencil, glue gun each sheet together to make 3D model and carved to rough shape finished with smoother look using hand held sander.

Club is scrimmed with PVA and muslin layers finished with stone/wood paint effect.

Pleasure & Pain (2017)

Hand made velvet curtains cut and measured to size of design features, stitches and overlaps sewed by machine.

Hemmed stitched by machine and finished with fringing and tassels.

Die Fledermaus (2017)

6 metre tall champagne bottle with welded steel core, constructed and carved using polystyrene blocks finished and smoothed with foam coat and rosco paint.

Wonderful World of      Dissocia (2017)

Goat horns sculpted using clay then applied with shellac and latex layers to create a jacket.

Latex jacket is then peeled off and filled with hard foam and painted with latex paints.

Horns are then bolted to climbing helmet and sealed.

   The Jungle Book                       (2017)

Collaborated group production creating the trees and leaves creating a jungle scape.

 

Constructed using welded steel rods for tree trunks. Leaves cut and shaped from plastizote sheets finished with rosco paint and flambar.

Balm and Gilead

        (2017)

Diner table boxes made from spruce plywood, assembled together then primed.

Application of rosco paints washes to create wood tone and finished with wood grain using wood grain tool.

Julius Caesar 

      (2018)

Plastic wolf masks sculpted from clay, moulded in plaster, then casted in plaster for positive mold.

 

Snout sculpted and moulded separately.

Both parts are then vacformed to produce plastic masks.

Street Scene

      (2018)

Construction Project building treads, door and pavement using spruce plywood and timber.

All pieces were constructed following design 

diagrams, measurements and guidelines.

Finished by sanding all smoothly, routering 

edges for health and safety aspects
